POP3 protocol works on two ports:
	110 - this is the default POP3 non-encrypted port
	995 - this is the port you need to use if you want to connect using POP3 securely
IMAP protocol works on two ports:
	143 - this is the default IMAP non-encrypted port
	993 - this is the port you need to use if you want to connect using IMAP securely
SMTP protocol works on three ports:
	25 - this is the default SMTP non-encrypted port
	2525 - this port is opened on all SiteGround servers in case port 25 is filtered (by your ISP for example) and you want to send non-encrypted emails with SMTP
	465 - this is the port used, if you want to send messages using SMTP securely

Email Ports
For networks, a port means an endpoint to a logical connection. The port number identifies
what type of port it is. Here are the default email ports for:
    POP3 - port 110
    IMAP - port 143
    SMTP - port 25
    HTTP - port 80
    Secure SMTP (SSMTP) - port 465
    Secure IMAP (IMAP4-SSL) - port 585
    IMAP4 over SSL (IMAPS) - port 993
    Secure POP3 (SSL-POP) - port 995


GMX Server Settings

-IMAP allows you to access your inbox in real time with any e-mail program of your choice.
Any actions (e.g. delete, move an email etc.) will be conducted directly on the server.

Many mail programs have difficulties linking the IMAP folders with the folders of your GMX Inbox
because these programs use their own folder names which cannot be changed
(e.g. "Trash" instead of "Deleted Items").
The email programs Apple Mail, Windows Live Mail and Thunderbird can link all folders.

Incoming:
Server: imap.gmx.com (imap.gmx.net)
Port: 993
Encryption: SSL
(If "SSL" is not available, you simply have to enable the "Encryption" function.)

Outgoing:
Server: mail.gmx.com (mail.gmx.net)
Port: 587
Encryption: STARTTLS
If "STARTTLS" is not available, please use the protocol "TLS".
If this option is also not available simply activate "Encryption".

-POP3 is an abbreviation for "Post Office Protocol Version 3". POP3 retrieves mails directly
from a server into a mail program and deletes the mails on the server afterwards.

Incoming:
Server: pop.gmx.com (pop.gmx.net)
Port: 995
Encryption: SSL
(If "SSL" is not available, you simply have to enable the "Encryption" function.)

Outgoing:
Server: mail.gmx.com (mail.gmx.net)
Port: 587
Encryption: STARTTLS
If "STARTTLS" is not available, please use the protocol "TLS".
If that option is not available, simply activate the option "Encryption".
